Job Description
We are looking for a Technical Manager for the international tour Songs for a Passerby.
This immersive VR opera, where visitors follow their own reflection, won the Grand Prize for Best Immersive Work at the Venice Biennale. It has been showcased at prestigious venues like SXSW and the Dutch National Opera & Ballet in Amsterdam. Upcoming international tours include South Korea, Taiwan, China, Scotland, Poland, and Belgium, with more requests coming in.
As Technical Manager, you'll handle pre-production, oversee the technical setup of art installations at film festivals, theaters, and museums, and ensure a smooth handover of technical information to local teams.
Responsibilities
- Manage the international tour and liaise with local technical teams
- Oversee technical setup and supervise set design on location
- Transfer technical information and train local hosts for the experience
Requirements
- Advanced knowledge of VR technology (experience with VIVE FOCUS 3, volumetric cameras, Steam VR, and game engines is a plus)
- Strong organizational and producer skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Flexibility and stress resistance
- Fluency in English
